Weeks of Welcome 2015 – Monday Events – 8/31/2015

9:00 am – 4:00 pm Academic Day – MANDATORY

On Monday, August 31st, all first year students are required to attend an academic day where you will get to know the deans, go on classroom tours, and participate in some exciting programs just for you!  We will be sending out your individualized schedule for this day in the near future!

3:00 – 7:00 pm Lawn Games & Novelty Fun! (University Park)

Stop by University Park to participate in some recreational games and more!

3:00 – 5:00 pm Commuter Ice Cream Social & Campus Tours (DMF Science Atrium/ Park Ave Shuttle Stop)

Calling all commuter students!  You are invited to an Ice Cream Social sponsored by the Office of New Student & Family Programs. Come claim your sweet treat and spin the wheel to win some amazing free prizes. Campus tours will be also be given on the BSU shuttles. This is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with the various parking lots and buildings around campus! This is also a chance for you to connect with our newest president Fred Clark, who will be speaking at 4 PM!

8:00 pm Welcome Week Comedian, Eric O’Shea – 1 Paw Point Entry (RCC Auditorium)

Get ready to witness not only a comedy show, but an epic night of laughs!  Not only has Eric received over 4 MILLION hits on YOUTUBE and performed at over 1200 colleges and universities, but he has also been NOMINATED the 6-TIME CAMPUS ACTIVITIES MAGAZINE’S “National Comedy Performer of the Year!” We ask you to sit back, relax, and buckle yourself in for Eric’s CLEAN wit and priceless observations about embarrassing childhood moments and life take you back through your embarrassing childhood and everyday moments that drive you insane!
